Consistently delicious and always low-key, Honig has released another impeccably well made and well priced Napa Cabernet. A dark garnet-purple color is followed by heady aromas of currant, cassis, sweet cedar and Snickerdoodle cookies, with secondary perfumes of espresso, blueberry and a touch of vanilla. Fat and mouth-filling on the palate, the ripe berry flavors dominate across the mouth, with lively spice notes showing through on the long, rich finish. Great acidity and soft, round tannins make for a rich Napa red that is almost too easy to drink. Built for near term enjoyment, you’ll want to grab cases!

The ‘05 Twenty Bench continues to deliver the best bang for the buck in the Cabernet world, with a deep, dark ruby color and a rich, complex nose. Scents of jammy red fruits flow from the glass; raspberry, currant and strawberry, framed with fresh herb notes of fennel, capsicum, and sweet sage, rounded out with warm tones of cedar / cigar box, cinnamon and a touch of black pepper.
